Tooth Replacement Options for Missing Teeth

Don’t let a missing tooth diminish your confidence, or, worse yet, negatively affect your overall oral health. At BrightWork Family Dentistry, we have several tooth replacement options that can restore your smile in as little as 2-3 office visits.

Make an appointment today to discuss your options with one of our caring and professional dentists, where they’ll assess your missing tooth (or teeth) and discuss replacement options that might include:

Dental Implants

In a dental implant, your dentist will surgically implant a metal post in place of the root of the missing tooth, and then attach to that post an artificial tooth that looks and feels like the tooth it replaced. Dental implants can be used to replace a single tooth, or several teeth.

Fixed Bridge

A fixed bridge is essentially three dental crowns connected together, with the outer two crowns anchored to existing healthy teeth to support the middle crown which “bridges” the gap left by the missing tooth. A fixed bridge is a permanent (i.e. not removable) dental appliance, and once placed will look, feel, and function similarly to natural teeth.

Removable Dentures

Depending on the nature and the extent of a patient’s missing teeth, dentures might be a tooth replacement option. A partial denture is a removable dental appliance that replaces a small section of teeth (or even a single missing tooth), while full dentures – also removable – replace all of the teeth. Although dentures do look and function like natural teeth, they may not be the best choice for all patients. Make an appointment with Brightwork Family Dentistry to see if a complete or partial denture might be right for you.

No matter how your tooth was lost or damaged, our dentists are ready to help you on your way to a restored smile. So don’t put off tooth replacement another day – your confidence and your dental health depend on it!
